Igor Gusev is one of the leading representatives of the New Wave in Ukrainian art. Igor Gusev was born on November 13, 1970 in Odesa. In 1991 he graduated from the Odesa Art School named after M. Grekov. Husiev is known not only as a painter, but also as a poet, video artist, curator, author of performances and organizer of numerous artistic events. The works of the 2000s have both political themes and reflections on the nature of art and culture. Ihor Husiev's work is inextricably linked to Odesa, and the artist has a significant influence on the formation of the artistic center in this city. He is the leader of the Art Raiders movement and the founder of the underground gallery Norma, which operated in Odesa for three years.
